Multiple Soundcards in Ableton

Post by Tazzlyn » Wed Oct 14, 2009 10:35 pm

Is it possible to use multiple soundcards with Ableton? I've got 2 that I would like to utilize at the same time. Is there any way to do this? Thanks for the help!

Hi Tazzlyn,

multiple soudcards are not supported, but there are workarounds using OS X Aggregated devices on a Mac, or give the ASIO4ALL driver a try (PC) to create a new "virtual" audio device containing both your soundcards.

Best,

With some M-Audio cards, their driver will support up to four devices at once, which will all be available inside Ableton. I once ran a 1010LT and 2496 Audiophile together with no problems. Don't know about other brands though.
