most likely some whacky permissions somewhere in your setup...

you can try repairing permissions using Disk Utility, but some manual permissions mods may be needed to sort it out...

is the user account an admin account?

I have had acouple of times where live loses my authorisations. Had it again yesterday. have emailed ableton about it and they replied it may be a computer virus or something else. But they are aware of it now - as i had used up my last authorisation because of this issue. Do a search of my posts and youll find a more detailed post.

Its the same here, but i guess thats normal behaviour. Once you click on always allow, its gone and it happens on all of my macs here.

oh yeah, looks like there's an Ableton application password stored in the keychain now...

i've never had to reauthenticate though...

is it part of the copy protection or what?

cheers guts - thats it sorted!

I browsed to ableton under the 'keychain access' program and selected the box which says something about no restricted access to this program - authenticated one more time to allow change and thats it sorted now :)

Im on a mac if this is causing confusion - thanks 8)
