Midi Envlp. Prob// Live 4.03 and Triton

Post by agridley » Wed Sep 22, 2004 6:37 am

Hey there. My current problem is that after I record a midi loop, go to the midi editor, add some midi envlp. changes, hear the difference, push stop, push start again, my midi envlp changes don't work.

Any suggestions or thoughts as to why my midi envlp edits won't "stick?"

I'm hoping this is user error... not a flaw in the program.

Thanks

Andy

are you doing these envelope changes in Arranger View or Session/Clip view?

I'm doing these envelopes in the "session" view (where tracks are arranged vertically). So far I haven't recorded into the horizontally arrange view yet. Still just recording and editing my loops....

I will record a midi loop.
I will push stop.
I will adjust a midi envelope.
Nothing changes when I push play.
So, why it's still playing, I adjust the envelope and then notice a difference.
However, if I push stop and then play the clip again, the envelope (although visibly still at the same setting) seems to have no impact (ie the clip sounds dry... no effect). If I go "shake" the little redish/pink bar on the envelope then the effect magically appears again.... only as long as I keep playing the same loop.

There's got to be something I'm doing wrong. I just can't figure it out!

Anyone else having this problem or know what I'm talking about here?

Any pointers would be AWESOME!

Thanks

Andy
