new clip on track without disturbing predrawn automation

Post by breaktwister » Tue Nov 03, 2009 12:17 pm

I'm working on a track and have a 1 bar clip extended out and looping over 32 bars with automation draw in over the course of the clip.

Now however I wish to go in and edit/delete some of the hits but I want to keep the automation lines. I've found using Copy or Duplicate overwrites the automation. How can I keep the automation but copy the 1 bar clip across so I can start editing the individual clips?

there is a small lock in the top right of the arrange page. turn this on and you should be good to go.
