I have a laptop that I had not originally thought I would use for ableton but the computer is more than able to handle it. I installed my Suite 8 on it last night and decided to play around with it. I found a .wav loop I liked and wanted to mangle it a little bit, so I right clicked and selected Slice to new midi track. When I did that I got the selection window for slicing and then hit ok. I was then given a Fail window. It said Ableton had a critical fail. I am authorized on my main music computer and authorized Ableton 8 on my laptop. Loops playing in a clip are fine, but when you want to slice to new midi track it fails. I am downloading 8.08 now hoping that may cure something. Anyone else experienced this?
