I was trying to put together a mix set and noticed a lot of my mp3 files cannot be opened. Live said they may be corrupt or not licensed.
Any ideas as to what causes this and how I can fix it?
Corrupted or not licensed? WTF?

Hi,
This seems to happen to lots of people.
What I suggest is open the MP3's in I-Tunes and convert them to AIF.
If you've got a lot to convert it's a PITA but it works.
Cheers,
Z.

That's hundreds of tracks, mate. The mind boggles at the thought, but thanks for chiming in.

i assume you´re on a pc
just install apple´s quicktime.
if you haven´t quicktime installed on your pc, ableton live uses windows direct show for decoding the mp3s. apparently it fails sometimes.
