All they did was bring parity to the Euro/Dollar pricing scheme. It's not even a real price reduction.

I'm writing a letter to the pope demanding they be canonized forthwith.
with my semen.

If you used to pay one price and now you pay less it's a price cut.

That's a simple, almost mongoloid way of looking at it.

less is less. Unfortunely it's not 'less' enough to make it a no brainer :(

Okay you explain to me exactly how a reduction in price can be seen as anything other than a price cut?

are they worth the money, or just expensive enough to make them a little more exclusive?

If you haven't noticed, and I find that hard to believe, eurogoons are consistently getting the shit-end of the stick re: parity of euro/dollar prices. All elektron have done is reluctantly introduce parity (during a global recession) and try and turn it into a marketing boon. Big fucking deal.

exactly right, and they've reduced the price.. which is... a price cut.

Reduced the price for who, einstein ?
That's right...eurogoons.
The price for eurogoons was artificially high.

Bringing parity to the euro/dollar pricing scheme isn't a bona fide price reduction.
It's a crass marketing ploy, extended during a global recession when they're feeling the pinch.

big deal.

Well, well worth the money. The Machinedrum-UW might very well be my most favorite piece of gear ever.
