Delete clips with Akai APC 40
I bought the APC 40 a few days ago and I love it. Now I want to delete a clip without using the "normal" keyboard. How can I do this with the APC ???
Re: Delete clips with Akai APC 40
Afaik you can't do that with the default settings.
But you could do that by mapping a button on the APC to the delete-key via Bome's Midi Translator.

You'd use it to translate a MIDI control into a keystroke (Delete, or maybe Undo)

I highly recommend QuicKeys over Bome's or midistroke. It's very powerful yet so easy to use and has both OS X and Windows versions.

Why do you prefer QuicKeys over Bomes?delicioso wrote:I highly recommend QuicKeys over Bome's or midistroke. It's very powerful yet so easy to use and has both OS X and Windows versions.

Depends on what you need to do, but for the type of stuff discussed in this thread, QuicKeys is much easier to use, can do things that Bome's cannot, and is cheaper compared to Bome's pro edition. QuicKeys even allows you to midi map menu items that don't even have keystrokes associated with them, like contextual menus, popup menus...etc. You can automate all sorts of stuff like launching and quitting any external apps that you may want to work together with Live, and it can do all this while always staying hidden in the background and hardly using any CPU.fl1p wrote:Why do you prefer QuicKeys over Bomes?delicioso wrote:I highly recommend QuicKeys over Bome's or midistroke.
