-I created a step sequencer out of the matrix control.
-You can position notes in the grid from a sin function.
-Rotate them around to simply create all sorts of patterns.
-I copied the transport section from monolake's sequencer just so it would sync to live's clock.

Thanx for sharing but it seems that theres a png file missing . . .

matrixctrl: can't find file C:/Documents and Settings/Jeremy Wentworth/My Documents/Ableton/BetaLibrary/Presets/MIDI Effects/Max MIDI Effect/MyMatrixCtrl/MatrixctrlImage2.png

makes the grid display look weird . . .

I guess the freeze button didn't include my png. Instead of freezing it I will just zip it up when i get home. For now, you could set the matrix image back to the default.

Should be fixed now.

Seems it's still broken here , I'm sorry but I´m not really fluent enough in max to change to the default . . .

No problem and thanks for your help. It should not give you the same exact error because now the image gets "frozen" into the device. I tested this on my machine by removing the images that I reference and it works for me.

Seems to me you'd want to update the earlier one rather than create a new one to keep your rating, download count, and comments with the device?

I didn't intend to add it twice. I did however update the amxd, change the screenshot to a png file, and it said it had to be a jpg so I switched it to a jpg and hit submit again. Then I updated the amxd file again a few minutes later. I hit edit device and did not add it again so it shouldn't be there twice.

Thanks for that description. I was able to find a bug that caused that which I likely wouldn't have found without your reply.

Can you delete the newer one if the older one has the updates you did?

I deleted the other one and made sure the one that is still there has the latest version. I also noticed that I could not search by "Name/Version" using the Search Library drop down. So if I search for FlexibleGrid in any of those types, mine does not show up. It might help include that field in the description search or just add that type of search.
