Everything was fine for me on 8.1b9. This morning however when i tried to fire up Live i got the message that i need to download a new version. Well, with this new version i cannot open up my .als, Live crashes everytime. Live will open fine when i am not opening a document.
Is there a way i can go back to 8.1b9 or is there some method to opening (apparently) corrupt files?
Was forced to download 8.1b10 now my .als crashes Live

all versions are installed individually, so check the actual program path and launch the old version. but it might not want to anymore, as it's time-bombed. maybe resetting the system time might help?slee wrote:Everything was fine for me on 8.1b9. Any time I try to save a file in Max, it crashes - even a 'new' amxd instance from Live. I can't save anything from Max, no matter what.
I swept out my preferences. No change.
I restarted. No change.
I created a new account on my Mac with a virgin Library, authorized Live, same thing, Create new amxd, Max crashes on save.
Seriously stuck. Anyone else having similar issues?
Mac OS 10.5.8
Live 8.1b10
Max 5.1b9
HALP.

@dave
Yea i will have to do a system time reset. b9 will open the file, i see it in all it's glory, but a dialogue box pops up in front of it to tell me that beta has expired. Ableton really needs a Save to earlier version (like Adobe does).

best to live 7 format... you have all the features of live 8 and it renders you all clips down to live 7 for stable stage use or as a automated total consolidation of all clips?
