I know this topic has been discussed before, but I was
wondering if people could chime in and let me know what they
think the best MIDI controller I should get to use with
Live. I am looking for something good for live performances,
relatively small in size, lots of programmable sliders,
knobs, and buttons.
Best MIDI controller for Live?
i like the UC33 for live.
the sliders have little LED lights in them for easy visual indication on a dark stage or in a dark club. Its pretty small considering how many knobs/sliders it has. its relatively cheap $189. its usb and powered by usb.
i set mine up like a mackie hardware mixer.
8 channels of live, each with a volume slider and 3 band eq. plus a master slider. its pretty logical, and you have 4 different preset banks to use.
i use the first bank as a mixer, and the 2nd bank as an fx controller.

The best MIDI controller for Live is the one you build yourself to meet YOUR controll needs.
