So I finally upgrade from live 7 to live 8 suite. Download it and go to set up. The first time I try I get a message saying there is a corrupt install file. I close the process and try again. This time it installs. I am then asked if I want to combine libraries or use a seperate one for 8. I decide seperate is probably smart at this time then halfway though i cancel the process due to a concern about hd space. I confirm I have enough room. Think I bshould probably do a clean install. So I uninstall then go to set up and get the corrupt file message again. i completely delete 8 and go to download the whole thing again. THe dl process is finished I'm starting to get excited like a little kid about an icecream cone or something. And I click on setup and get the error about a corrupt install file again. What the ????? If anyone could give some insight that would be rad. The setup file just seems not to work all together at this point. For example if I click on it I get an hourglass for a second then nothing. I was reallly stoked to have a whole day to play with my new toys and it's nearly 6 hours later and I got nothing to shop for it but an angry girlfriend (i think her setup file is corrupt as well).
Not sure if anyone has had this issue the system is win xp pro os 2.8g dual core, and 4 gigs of ram, 160 gb 7200rpm drive for the os and ableton.
My hair is falling out and the gravitational pull to the store to say eff it and get some beer is at an all time high.
