SupaTrigga - Some hit me over the head and call me an idiot

Post by FaX-01 » Fri Oct 01, 2004 8:09 am

Why oh why had I not even given this little GEM a look in until today.
Somebody slap me please 8O  .......
Ohhh this thing is great for musical randomisation combined with Live.
Use an impulse and route several outs and use it on just the snare's for example or on jazzy piano riff's and the like ...totally incredible.
Very clever little plug-in and very damn musical results can be obtained thats for sure. (it does many an evil thing when you rewire/midi control and sequence Dr.Rex from within live and whack ot on the audio input channel) .
The fellows at smart electronics are clever little gimps aren't they :D .
On a side note my boxed version of Tassman 4.0 arrives next week.
Only one more BIG purchase in VST land and that will the Neuron VS next year + a M-audio 88 note controller.
Damn you Ableton how do I love thee.
Everyday with this app is like a veritable aural wet dream.
Talk about feeling like a proggy/app was written just for your mind set.
Yep well Live 4.0 is definately IT   :!:

What get's me even more is it is so CPU lite 8O .
I mean ridiculously so for what it does.
Also guys go to http://www.concretefx.com/Rock.zip
Download ROCK - nasty bugger of a synth .
All sorts of distirted nastiness to be had and it's FREE.
A little CPU hungry with alot going on but capable of anything from glitchy, gnarly to smooth ,additive ,warm and fuzzy :) ........
I've been using this one quite a bit myself.
UI takes a bit of getting used to but it sounds damn great .

There's another one similar to supartriggah called Coldcutter. Was done for coldcut or something. It's free also.

Sorry Mosca I have edited my post if you click on the link it downloads immediately - sorry about that so just go back to the original link in my post and click on it now.

I just tested it and it's fine - my apologies

Just be wary on install it's an .exe that install into it's own folder marked VSTplugin that folder has to be installed into the VST directory specified in your Ableton preferences other wise the graphics and user programmable 32 partial additive waveforms won't be accesed correct.

IE: Don't instal then shet the files into the Ableton VST directory the synth won't be programmable if you do .

Found using the on/off on the mac au ver. pauses the sound slightly when you switch supatrigga on so prefer to set up a controller and use it to control the granularity and fade between 1 slice<>8 slices.

Suppatrigga is great for vocals. And bass... long droning notes with the silence prop set to around 50% so it cuts out eighth or quarter notes at random. Woohoo.

You made me curious about the supatrigga but where to find it, just spent half an hour googling without result.
Any link?

wow...

thanks for all this info on SuppaT..., I'd seen the name tossed around for a while but only now made some time to investigate further, getting ready to download and give it a try.

What do you make of all the other plugs on the site, are they all worth a closer look? I suppose I'll try them anyway, just thought I'd get some more opinions. That Bouncing Ball VST looks amusing...
