Problem with Ableton V6, new MOBO and CPU

Post by karlsav » Sun Nov 29, 2009 2:10 am

Hey ableton gurus, desparately need your help and your help is appreciated in advance.

I am running ableton version 6 . Yes it is a legit copy, Ive been a happy ableton user for the last 5 years.

Ive recently upgraded my mother board and CPU and ever since I have done this, ableton has been really slow. As in, it loads the template set up ok, but if I save a project and load up any previous projects, sometimes it takes 10 minutes to load the project up. That is until today - Ive been working on a tune for the last 8 hours, it is saved and I had an ableton critical error which shut it down, now when I go to load up the project, it sits there for 10ish minutes loading it up, then eventually ableton just crashes, no error messages nothing. Am I right in saying it may be because of the upgrade of hardware that I am getting these problems? Other unique problems I have had in the past are when a project has loaded, its all out of time and some of the audio tracks have mad clipping on them . To fix this problem I have duplicated the audio tracks and deleted the original audio track which seems to fix it all , getting the whole project back in time. But todays problem is really frustrating, not one of my other projects are loading up . HELP!

Thankyou again in advance for any assistance.
