I am trying to control an Impulse drumset using an Alesis DM5 with the same note mappings (C3, D3, E3... etc). As I play, I can hear the notes being triggered fine but the clip refuses to record those notes (Does so fine with my Remote25). I think it has something to do with the way that the DM5 outputs MIDI but I am not sure (no note off??).
ProTools records the notes fine from the DM5 but puts an X on the note within the region. ?? Not sure what that means (If anyone knows I would loved to hear).
