Macbook fan always on

Hey

I have a Macbook (Unibody 13", 4Gb RAM, 2ghz Core Duo processor, 10.6 & Live 8.1)

The fan on my Macbook starts up within minutes of me opening Live. I don't even need to have any devices set up for the Activity Monitor to go to 20% for Live (even if in the background) and by the time I'm running a few channels of audio the fans kick in fully and make a real racket.

Luckily I don't need to record vocals / instruments in the same room, but it is annoying having a constant full on fan going.

I'm just wondering if Live is using up too many resources, or if my (year old) laptop needs replacing.

Is there anything I can do to make it run better?
