Automatically Selecting active Clips when Selecting the chan

Does anyone have any ideas on this: Can I Automatically Select active Clips when Selecting the channel they are in.

At the moment I have automated this process on a combination of Ableton and Midi Translator on windows where I can automatically move the mouse and select the active clip in that channel.

The reason I want to do this is that I have been creating an environment where I can automate the whole looping process and not use the mouse at all - I then want to manipulate those clips I have created.

I want to move to a Mac platform - but currently mouse automatic movement is not achievable using Midi Translator on a Mac.

Therefore I was trying to see if I had overlooked another way to do it within Live. Any ideas ?

If not within Live - Does anyone have any idea if Max for Live might facilitate this process ?
