Warning sound in Live8

Hi everybody,

I just upgraded to 8 and now everytime I hit save, I get a Mac warning sound, if I haven't made any changes.
I'm a frequent "saver", and I would hate to break this habit because of the sound, can't find anywhere to turn it off...

Anyone know how to do it?

if you haven't made any changes, why are you trying to save?

look in the file menu > 'save live set'
its greyed out. hence the mac alert when you try the 'save' key command.

System Preferences -> Sound, then uncheck the following:

[ ] Play user interface sound effects

You need to switch it off within the OSX preferences, it is not a Live issue, basically the mac warning of a 'wrong' key command comes up when there is nothing new to be saved within Live.

Thanks guys, I had to turn off the volume for warning sounds to get rid of it.
Unchecking "play user interface sound effects" didn't do the trick.

It never happened in Live 7, that's why I'm asking...
I hit save all the time, it comes from my Logic years;-)

you didn't use the autosave program that is for free available for logic? tsss...

I also noticed this.. I don't understand why they've activated the warning sound..
it doesn't really add anything other than confuse me because no other app gives you this sound when a file is already saved..
why give a warning when you're essentially not doing anything wrong..?

I also hit save a lot without even looking if a file is saved or not, just out of habbit, just to make sure..
so what if I can't save if already saved?.. this beep is just an annoying distraction..
