Invalid Product i.d?

Post by ySeStuGf » Fri Dec 18, 2009 12:26 pm

Hi all, i am currently using the free trial version 8.1 but it will not let me open up a project i have been working on for the past 2 days?

Does this mean i have lost all my work? it says Invalid Product I. D?

I have been very happy an want to purchase after my trial but if i am going to get this problem with the full version then i will not want to purchase as i would find it unreliable? it has also crashed on me twice now too?

I have tried to download the Beta update but it says authorization needed and i have to close?

This is very frustrating after spending hours on a project...

If someone could help i would be greatful. Thanks

you wont have these problems with a purchased copy of live - <better dont> trust me.

Still, its strange - a friend of mine was demoing live for quite while without having any issues like yours - have you changed anything on your system during these 2 days ?

i have a purchased version of Live 8 and i got the same error, so no don't trust him. i posted the problem in the support forum, they told me to download the latest beta, screw that.

I still love live. and admit to being a fanboy. only because they treat me so well and make a kick ass product.

The "invalid product ID" error is an unfortunate problem which can happen under certain
circumstances with the current Live 8.1 version. The problem has been fixed in the beta
and of course with the next update. If you have this problem and don´t want to install the beta and
also don´t want to wait until you can reopen these sets with the next update, send the affected sets
to me and i´ll fix it for you.

Yes you will have these problems with a purchased copy. i am unable to work on a project because of this exact error, and i have been a payed up member since live 3. Its a problem with 8.1
