WIndows 7 64 Bit + Live 8 Stability

Post by M6live » Sat Dec 19, 2009 8:45 pm

Hey friends!

How is stability between Live 8 and Win7 64 bit? I am curious about the stability of these 2 platforms both with the use of Live's native VST's and without them. Thanks in advance for all of the feedback!

In my environment, regardless of VST, Live 8.1(with Win7 64bit) will crash very often. Live 8.0.10 seems to work stable.

So even without VST use you find Live 8.1 to be unstable on Win7 64 bit? :[

I find it to be far more stable than my XP 32 bit build and I use a lot of VST's too.
8.1 should be fine but then again it all comes down to your individual setup ;)

As I posted a day or two ago, Live 8.1 isn't working at all for me in Win7 64-bit Home Premium. It crashes consistently when I try to get it to scan my VSTi folder. No answer yet to my post, so I guess it's time for a message to tech support.

Ahh I am sorry to hear that. Are you running any hardware as well? Also, what kind of laptop are you using?

Try running Live as administrator (Right click Live icon > Run as administrator) if you haven't already. I have similar issues but this solves it.

So once you run Live as administrator everything is solid?
