live not responding, string instruments not working

After running live lite 8 for a while under windows 7, it takes more and more time to save a live set. Finally live is not responding for a few minutes. Sometimes the saved live set doesn`t play the sounds of the "synthetic strings" isntruments (chamber combo, baroque) anymore correctly. If I reload the instrument into the set, it is played correctly again, but only for a while.
What could be the reason for this?

loads of possible reasons - how much ram? how fast a processor? what else is running? what plugins are you using? In other words, most likely a resource issue - at least I would want to rule that out first.

another thought...what version of 8 lite? make sure you have the latest and greatest build for lite.

I have a Dell laptop, 4 GB RAM, 2.1 GHz dual core processor. I have no plugins, and no other programs are running. Now I upgraded to live 8.1 full version, but it still takes a long time to save a set.

Meanwhile I have Live 8.1.1 and it is a little bit better

I experience the same problem on Live Intro 8, really irritating.

i'm having the same problem as wschweizer and I have a macbook from 2008 (core 2 duo) and live 8.2.1 and some of the synth strings are glitchy.

Live 8.1.1 is not the latest version. At least upgrade to 8.2.1, there have been quite a few bugfixes between those versions.
