Why u do dat?!?

For me it's prolly stuff for my drums. They're really not bad purchases, it's just
kind of useless considering my kit is in boxes. I could have used the money for something else...

Probably coz it seemed like a tool i could use and the cost seemed ok at the time compared to what it had been selling for....but when it arrived it just did not suit my style of doing things and now you can't give the fuckers away here in Aus.

Ableton Live special mag that ws for live 8.

Essentially just a rehash from last years live 7 one with a load of crap interviews and some (3 or so) not great tutorials.

I felt well gyped!

Ohter than that I have got a metasonix assblaster gathering dust in my room. However it might be the case that I havent found the right usage for it yet, not had a load of modular time this last year. Next year is going ot be mighty different though. . .
I slipped into a daze, whilst I was there I heard the most startling music, it was at once familiar and alien, reassuring and unsettling.

My worst purchase - a dodgy doner kebab that gave me the trots for days.

Fortunately, I did not the money to make a mistake like buying an MPC5000, but if I'd dropped money on that beast, I'd make it my business to fit it into my workflow and use it, that's one hell of an expensive coffee coaster/door wedge etc

Airplane ticket for a singer that can sing but doesn't show up on time or sometimes not at all. So now I've got a song with half the vocals which amounts to not having a song at all. Ah well

A new car. I bought it cuz my other car drank gas and I had to drive no less than 2hrs a day. Then I got transferred around the corner from my house. Now I have a F#@*ing car payment for no reason. Oh, Merry Christmas

For me it was the Edirol R-09hr. Nothing against it, I still think it's awesome for what it does. I just didn't end up using it anywhere close to as often as I thought I would. It was turning into an expensive paper weight, so I ended up selling. Luckily i had bought it for a real steal, so I only ended up loosing about $30 on the deal in the end.

that was the case with my m-audio multitrack 2496 a couple of years ago. i didn't sell it though. i just made it my "ipod". and it doesn't actually need fucking itunes to work! or any other specific media player to work or sync with.

this year, my worst purchase was probably was probably everything i bought for this god damn hobby/vice i call "my music".

not that they are bad items at all, it's just ridiculous the amount of money i've spent on shit...
Alchemy and soundbanks, Live 8 Suite upgrade, ozone 4 upgrade, antares evo upgrades, APC40, Launchpad, new computer CPU and a couple of other parts, new ikea desks, more rob papen plugins to complete the collection, a neutrik patchbay and about 50 trs cables to hookup everything, presonus studio channel, izotope alloy, and the minor purchases like ultra analog, psp nitro, and puremagnetik renewal. it's a good thing i didn't pay full price for any of this stuff except the Live upgrade. always got a discount.

Is it stupid cause it cost so much or cause of the steep learning curve. I've looked at them, and I love the idea...but I feel that touch screen technology is about to be dirt cheap so the price will be coming down.
