EWQL Library Problems

Post by byronoil » Sun Jan 03, 2010 7:56 am

My Ableton Live 8.1.1 doesn't recognize any of my EastWest Instruments, including Goliath, MOR, Fab Four & Storm DrumII. Also won't recognize Kore 2.

I'm running Vista Home Premium 64 on a core 2 duo 2.4GH. The Instruments are great, but I can't sequence them. Anyone else find a solution?

EWQL libraries are working here with 8.1.1, along with the Kore 2 Player. I'm on OS X though. Maybe try a reinstall of Play and Kore?

Excellent! Thanks. I re-installed Kore & Ableton picked it up automatically. I see in the manual that after two 'no-shows' an instrument will be ignored until re-installed. Still no luck with EWQL libraries though. They are 64 bit, but are supposed to be compatible with 32 bit. Maybe I should separately install the 32 bit versions? A lot of time there. But they're not doing me much good just sitting there on my new Glyph 1 TB Instrument Drive!

I've 16 days left of my trial Ableton Suite and I want it to work. I'm having a riot composing things, but I'm a novice. I'll keep trying.

According to this article, it should be possible to install the instruments without needing to reinstall the libraries, using the latest Play version download from the EW site.
