Hi There dudes,
I am finding that I need a bigger keyboard than my current 25 keys. I have a Kore controller, and a nocturn (which I have not really used yet).I am just wondering what people would consider a good choice, I have seen good reviews of the m audio axiom and the novation remote zero SL. I basically use a mouse for all my plug ins as I haven't been bothered to fully explore automap yet. So I guess I am asking what people think is the best way to go, a simple midi controller keyboard, or one with features that can control my DAW and plug ins?? I only use soft synths and have a roland td3 for my drums..........
Any advice would be apreciated..
Controller Keyboard
Re: Controller Keyboard
I haven't scratched the surface yet, but I'm glad I got the Axiom Pro 49. It's barely big enough to do some composing, and it controls some things (like Kore Player) right out of the box. And it fits on the dining room table! Live is Food.

Re: Controller Keyboard
i have an axiom 49, i must admit i don`t use very often these days but it`s a really nice unit. the keys have a great feel etc. i used to have it set up to launch clips, use the faders on the first 8 channels etc. since i bought my apc40 i haven`t used it very much though. i don`t use the key board for composing that often and i just have so many more control surface options on the apc.
i also know a few guys that have remote SL37s. they are really nice units! (but sometimes a bit short for composing). they set up a lot more easily than the axiom (remote sl`s auto map which is easier than the presets that the axiom has that always pissed me off). they are a bit more expensive though.
so in summary, if you want to use it to compose i would recommend the axiom 49 if on a buedget and an remote SL if money isn`t the issue. if you want a control surface the axiom will have limited functionality, the apc is the way to go. i almost bought a remote SL0 (just the top part) to in conjunction with the axiom, the only reason i didn`t is cause they released the APC40
