Clip Zoom/Drag in 8 not behaving like manual explains or v7

Hello, I just upgraded from Live 7 to 8. I use Live to DJ, and I'm trying to get used to the new clip view and warp engine. The biggest problem I'm experiencing is in 7 you could left click in the bottom of the WAV form in clip view and drag horizontally to drag and vertically to zoom. This isn't working in 8 - when WARP mode is turned on, I can't click in the bottom and drag or zoom, even though the PDF manual says that in WARP mode you can click in the bottom half and drag/zoom. I now have to press the SHIFT key while clicking to get this functionality. Again, this isn't what the manual says or how it worked previously. I want to be able to simply left click in the bottom of the WAV form (while WARP is ON) and drag horizontally or zoom by dragging vertically without holding down SHIFT. Is there a setting I'm missing? Or is this how it has to work now and the manual is wrong?

Unfortunately the zooming/dragging is now on the top of the clip, way up top, above the loop bracket.
