Absynth 2 and Ableton 3

I can not get Absynth 2 to work in Ableton 3. I don't know if I'm using it wrong, but should it be coming up in the plug-in section. Please let me know if you know any fixes or if i need to upgrade to live 4.0. I have both versions fully updated on a PC and I just cannot get it to work. Plus i was wondering when you get the full boxed version of live 4.0 do you get a sample cd with it for free or just the program? Thank you

VSTi's weren't supported in Live until the most recent version (4.x.x) I have ABSynth 2 - I don't think it can be used as an effect, so I assume you're talking about playing it as an instrument... right? If that's the case you need Live 4.x.x or higher.
