Music before bed
Anybody listen to music really quiet just before going to sleep?
What do you listen to?
Can't get to sleep without music on.
Currently listening to Planet Boelex - Misplaced EP
You can download all of his music here http://planet.boelex.org/ for free.

I can't help but analyze music when I listen to it, so it actually keeps me awake, but tv bores me to death, so I turn on the tv, change it to AMC, set the 10 minute timer, lay down, and I'm out in no time.

If I work on music before bed I stay up and can't sleep.
And end up on the ableton forum at 2.30 am

I slipped into a daze, whilst I was there I heard the most startling music, it was at once familiar and alien, reassuring and unsettling.

Re: Music before bed
weird experimental ambient music is the best before sleep. when you reach alpha then listening became something similar like you are on mushrooms with tranqualizers.
for example:
maurosa
kk null
thomas köner
the lighter ones

Slowdive - Souvlaki - Brian Eno's flanging, modulated production on this shoegaze classic is especially narcolepsy inducing. (great album too, just super mellow for relaxing too), especially Melon Yellow and the awesome, dub echo guitars of 'Souvlaki Space Station'. Even the single 'Alison' from this album heightens my sleep apnea.

Mazzy Star and Everything But The Girl are also good 'sleeping' music.

selected ambient works II is an all time classic album for beddy bye byes, or when you're especially monged on chuff and painkillers.

I listen to whatever, such as a full Vibrasphere album. Just anything to draw inspiration for writing music.

Re: Music before bed
I used to fall asleep with Pantera, Korn or Sepultura in the headphones when I was a teen...
(remember being woke up by the "ghost tracks" at the end of the CD, for korn's first album... lol )
now I just sometimes have sex before bed, but not listening to music (or my just-rendered-new-track, but it's too much booty, makes me get out in a club )

Anything played really quiet helps keep the tinnitus at bay
