Live 8.1.1 : much better, thank you dev team :-)

8.1.1 fixed a lot of things for me.
First, the appz seems to run fluidly, and that wasnt the case with previous versions. Zooming, switching from session/arrangement views - the whole program is now running smoothly like it should with a E6600 core2duo.
Projects load quickly and saving takes 2 seconds (with 8.1, it could take sometimes several minutes !)
But most of all... I can load some projects that wouldnt open anymore (and that makes me very happy) or crash the app. The 'not enough memory' error seems to be fixed :-)

I noticed one bug, though : when deleting some clips in the arrangement view, and hitting Ctrl-Z (Undo), weird things happen : some clips dont seem to get back to the exact time they were before deleting them (half a second or less). Or Live would play a fucked-up noise instead of the right clips. One tiny bug i do hope to see fixed in the next version.

yes, i've noticed that the interface has speed up now. Seems to be alot more fluid like you mentioned. I havent experienced any crashes yet only weird bugs, it's seems to be "plugins" that are causing the major headaches for some users. thank god for tangible instruments.

Ableton 8.1.1 is working great for me as well. I am new to Ableton, but not new to music production. I used Sonar for years and never really felt that the work flow was for me, but I was reluctant to spend money on another DAW software license. I downloaded the Ableton demo after hearing people praise it for many years and started working on my existing projects exclusively within this wonderful application. Ableton feels so natural to me. I own the Suite and I love how you can throw anything at it, stack up synths and effects, and Ableton takes it like a champ with my CPU monitor never exceeding the 30% mark. My system is about 3 years old and Ableton runs very well. I could never say the same for Sonar.
