Look I'm using a dynamic microphone (Sennheiser e-815) to record sounds.I'm not looking to buy any sampler, so I prefer the PC-editing.
I also want to use them only in my music and not for live play.
I have Ableton 8.0.1..
so Audacity is good?Any other (not only free) program?

Sorry---the SP202 was just a j/k...Like jonesonyou asked, "Do you have sampler" NOT a hardware sampler, but the midi instrument within Abe Live. I normally get a little confused when this kind of question comes up because normally I would ask "Why arn't you just using the brains of Ableton??" I mean...Ableton has some pretty fkn amazing sample editing capabilities

its really a shame that live only has a simpler unbuikd.. when you compare that with what comes with otehr daws its a shame..also sound wise...
is sampler actually better sounding than simpler or is it the same unmusical harh mess when playing keyboard sounds?
it actually should be better because otherwise it would be even more absurd that they charge extra fo such standard tools..

theese days its allmost like charging extra for 16th quantisation...

If you are talking audio editors. I use Adobe Audition, cause it's relatively cheap and insanely powerful.
