Reason Automation when in REWIRE ?

Hi there,

i wonder if there is a way to automate reason instruments in the A.Live Sequencer when i ´m in Rewire mode ??

if so, could anybody eplain me how?

Go to the midi clip which is controlling the track in reason. Go to the envelope clip box. There should be 2 box selector things within the envelope clip box. In the top one choose the reason instrument you want to automate. In the bottom one choose which parameter within that instrument you would like to control. I'm pretty sure that is how you do it. I have not used Reason with Live in a LOOOONG TIME.

Just curious, are you using the "External Instrument" to control Reason?

yes, i use the external instrument device.
and i tried this already before i posted the question.
but the only thing i can automate is "device on/off"....

Just wanted to revive this old thread, mainly because the question hasn't been answered and I'm tired of searching with no payoff.

Midi CC can be drawn into clips, hooray, but is there a solution for automation?

I realize that by changing the midi cc values in the clip it is a sort of automation, but I'm looking for the ability to automate parameters in Reason, from Live, in either session or arrangement view; the kind of automation that allows you to see what value you are changing the parameter to, not just a 1-127 range (which gets confusing when you restrict the midi value range in reason).
