The Stupidest Out of Place Sound in a Track Ever ????
A bit of a random one here, But I'm sitting here listening to Human League and that gunshot sound in Seconds has to be the dumbest sound I have ever heard in the middle of a track amongst some of the most awkward production I have ever heard on what is basically a good song....any other contenders????

Re: The Stupidest Out of Place Sound in a Track Ever ????
the other day I was working on a track and I went off to make a cup of tea and when I came back down, in the middle of this acoustic guitar ballad I was working on for my friend, suddenly this huge 'MOO!' sound appears from nowhere and I'm WTF ??? I hadn't recorded this so was thinking my buddy had gone insane and gotten a sound from the freesound project library for some bizarre abstract reason.
In actual fact, my wife had sneaked onto my computer and had been playing Farmville in Facebook, which I discovered when chickens clucking suddenly came in from nowhere, and had forgotten to turn the browser window off....

Also the end of the album 'Experimental Jet Set, Trash And No Star' by Sonic Youth, as the song 'Sweet Shine fades out' (around 5:20 ish, listen from about 4:50 to get the full effect) after the fade, a short silence of about 55 seconds then you get all this ear piercing squealing of a Japanese woman (sounds like something Yoko Ono would do on the outgroove of an album) mingled with random loud industrial noises. Scared the crap out of me the first time I listened, I had fallen asleep with headphones on

I remember doing a vocal track way back in the day, the bass player was doing the lead and needless to say it had been a long hot summer day in Sydney with too many cooling ales. Anyway, some stupid fuck comment had been made and Pete started this most ungodly high pitched girly laughing right through the track...funny thing it was kind of synchronous with the drums and didn't sound too bad as we thought at the time so we left it as was. Amazingly no one else ever saw it that way, but it was a moment in time....something I still love about live recording.

Being that the song "Seconds" is about JFK getting shot, one could imagine it was intended to be random and alligned by the event that inspired the song. Though, this is just another useless internet opinion.

for me, the most stupid out of place sound things ever are those ambient tracks, which are very relaxing and chilling, and then, they randomly drop in some old 56k modem sound when it connects.
wtf? that is NOT relaxing and chilling, duuudes

Heard this dancey sort of pop song in a few snowboard vids last year, and it was a great tune except for this annoying wild cat like meow-roar they used.

I always thought the rap in the middle of Neneh Cherry's 'Buffalo Stance' would be a contender. Great song otherwise, but '... know what I mean'?

i can`t stand that clicky sound in Lady Gaga`s "Bad Romance" ...for me it`s to loud in contrast to the other elements... it pops out on the cheapest kitchen radio, like a demo restriction.
