Actually ... 637 more points are needed ... I think the bargain hunting feeding frenzy is distorting your perception of reality a little. I signed up for the effects bundle after playing with the demos . I was REALLY impressed by the ergonmics and design of the plugins , and the automation and scope readouts in quadfrohmage is very clever. The effects will take simpler and impulse to a different dimension.

Playing guitar through Amplitube and then through the multi-compressor and the ohmboys delay produced some brilliant sounds - and I love the fact that you can freeze the delay and modulate it - great for trippy dub.

I was far more happy to part with my money for these effects rather than upgrading to Logic 7 - which would entail a new computer ( when there are still horror stories flying around about heat / fan noise / freezing with G5's ) a new opperating system - Panther, the price of the upgrade ... and there are still loads of logic users who have gripes about the revised interface, no pdc etc.

Live and ohmforce do it for me .... try the demo's if you haven't already.

Steve,
Nocturn early adopter ....

To be clear, 637 more points are needed to get the last bonus, which is simply some preset patches.

The 44% discount, best price level has already been reached (and I already have my software!)

ok, i should have said "a few hundred" but i wanted it to seem nearer to the goal... ;)

i don't need a "bargain hunting feeding frenzy" to distort my perception of reality... i'm already there :P

btw, the discount works out to about 65% total. that 44% figure is added to another discount... crazy math trickery.

the AU versions work in live 4.0.4

I've been out of the the loop VST wise for damn near a year now (eek)!

But now i'm getting my studio back together... are these plug-ins worth it? Especially considering my very low budget!

well, you should *really* download the demos and try them if you're considering purchase... unless you have some money to throw around. they're small, around 2MB each.

so far, i really like the OhmBoyz one and Quad Frohmage. they are pretty unique and diverse plug-ins, IMO. but you are ultimately the only one to say if they are good for you or not...

Also Frohmage (single filter) is a freebie which you can download from their site.

I bought the All Filters option, and just with playing with the presets on Quad Frohmage, got a banjo loop to sound like a NIN drum loop. Great sound-mangling stuff.

Melohman will take some time to figure out tho, let alone master...

One other thing is that the Ohmies support and help is outstanding.
Centrino 2.0 ghz
1 gig ram
80 meg 7200 drive
Indigo IO (DX)
M-audio 410 external
XP Pro SP2
Symptohm Melohman, MachV, Korg Legacy, Z3ta, Tassman, Cameleon 5k
