Hi guys,
Pretty general question, but having difficulty trying to find a fix. I've got a simple mallet strike in a loop, and i like the way it sounds. Problem is that ableton has a feature that slightly varies the velocity of the note each time it's played. Yes this helps it sound more natural ordinarily, but not with this particular instrument i'm using.
Any help - much appreciated.
Thanks
how to keep standard velocity of notes in a loop?

not generally. that sounds weird. look for a 'velocity' device which has it's random parameter turned up, or something.jamescameron wrote:ableton has a feature that slightly varies the velocity of the note each time it's played

thanks, avatar's done really well, just helping out the guys with the score on my next film, have to keep costs down, the industry's changed, i'm sure you understand.
ahem. no random on it, very strange, you know if you hit a percussion note again and again and it slightly changes with each hit at the same velocity? try it, you'll see what i mean.

must be, that's all i could pin it down to. problem is, that's what gives it it's sound. no worries ;]
