hey there,
i have my set all programmed into the session view, it took me a long time but it's so worth it!
one small problem though..
if i use a follow clip to another scene with a different bpm, even though i have specified that scene to have a new bpm by putting that in scene launch, when the clips in that scene get triggered by follow action they stay in the bpm of the last scene! agghhhh!
is there a workaround for this? i'm using apc to control and would really love it to sequence from song to song and change tempo without having to trigger scene..
thanks so much for your help>>
follow clip tempo problem..gig tonight! can anybody help?
Re: follow clip tempo problem..gig tonight! can anybody help?
I know what you mean, I have similar tempo changes in my liveset from song to song, but I don't think it's possible as you describe. I can see why too, it would get really confusing for the global tempo to change per clip, not per scene - what would happen when two different clips move to two different BPM simultaneously, for example?
What I've done in my livesets is isolate the clips that I expect will be used for the transition to the next song, loop them, remove follow actions and then have a new scene directly below using the same clip but with the new BPM and, importantly, removing the stop buttons from the other tracks in that new scene, so that anything else that's playing will continue to play, but now at the new tempo. That works fine.
