looper reverse button unassignable (8.1.1-8.1.2b4)

i am having trouble assigning Looper's reverse button to any midi notes. everything else works fine... record, clear, undo, pitch up/down all of it except for reverse. i went back and tried it in Live 8.0.1 and it works just fine.
anyone else having these issues or know what the problem could be?

maybe delete all the assignments and try again? or try a new set. if there's already an assignment to it, it would show up like this. maybe Live has one but it's not being reported.

try a new Looper?

sounds like you tried more than one note. my first guess was that you were using a note that was already assigned to something.

yeah no luck. there are no other assignments and it doesn't matter which note i pick... sometimes the reverse button flashes for a split second when i am clicking the note but nothing happens.

Can you assign it to a key on your computer keyboard?

yeah, key assign works just fine.

I was just about to ask about this very issue. Glad to know it is potentially fixable. I am trying to assign it to a foot controller. When i press down the controller button, it sends cc22 127, and when i release it it sends 0. All the other buttons work this way except for the reverse assign. It just needs to toggle. If i hold down the controller button so the cc22 never sends 0 (button release) the reverse stays on.
