Just bought Live suite 8 from local paper...

Hi all, i am new here but love the forum and also have a question that i just cannot find the answer for anywhere?

I recently downloaded the trial version of 8 suite and fell i love after a week so i have been saving some money up to buy it but i saw an ad in the paper that someone had put in about selling there live suite..

so i went and met him because he was selling cheaper than the shop prices.

The copy was completely sealed brand new untouched etc.. but has on the bottom "without serial box"..

But he had the original invoice receipt for a total of over 600 euros and all serials, customer id numbers, his name/ address etc
He said it was an unwanted present.

So i went ahead and bought the box with all receipts

Got home and decided not to open the box right away but to go on the web and register the products 1st using the serials on the email from ableton he gave me.
But when I typed in the serial it displays this message> “Something went wrong
The serial number you entered is disabled. Please contact [email protected]???

so I have contacted them but will probably not be replied until next wek sometime but if someone on here could drop me a little reply on how to resolve this I would be very grateful as I cant wait to get started with the full version!

ok i have already created my account,

so now i have to try and contact the man i bought it off? hmm let me guess he prob wont answer his phone now then...

Well i have his address, invoice and name etc so hopefully all is legit and seeing as i have an unopened suite 8 box here then i should be ok?

can i open the box and use it without authorizing or wont i be able to save/export as its annoying because i want to open and use..?

ok thanks for your time, i have contacted customer support and attached the scanned invoices to the email so i will be awaiting their reply..

How did things turn out? I am in the same situation. I have the APC40 version and bought the AS8 upgrade, boxed, and unopened, but when I went to use the serial, same message. I have already sent a message to unlock and support.
