Tips for Mixing Clean Transitions with EQ Eight?

Post by anodyne » Tue Feb 16, 2010 10:06 am

Anyone have tips on how make clean transitions with eq eight? I'm pretty new to this, but what I've been trying to do is use the low cut filter on the track i'm mixing out of and just gradually keep cutting the lower frequencies while bringing in the lower frequencies from the new track I'm mixing in. Should I also be fading the volumes or just stick to eq'ing? I'd super appreciate it if you guys have any general tips for how you like to mix sets with eq eight. Thanks!

Have you seen Tarekith's DJ effects? http://tarekith.com/misc.html

Thoroughly recommended.

Thanks, I'll def check that out, but I'm looking more for advice in general on mixing with EQ eight - anyone?

Not really into the DJ'ing side of things but would auto filter not work better in that circumstance?

If you check out the fx there is DJ EQ included that will be far better then using the EQ8 on its own.
