No stereo using one input, plz help

I'm using my mbox 2 with ableton and I have one xlr mic going into input one. I've screwed around with all of the input output settings and cannot achieve stereo. I can mix it in my headphones to sound that way, but when i record it only goes to the left side. Is it a problem with my sound card, mbox, ableton? I'm really in the dark here and would really appreciate any help.

Hi Briolate,

in the track´s I-O section, choose Audio From "EXT IN" and "1" (or "2" depending on which port you use on your interface) instead of "1/2".
