i'm starting a project to make a chromatic keyboard with scales represented by lit leds
i think the best way to use the grid is to include the scene launch buttons, to get a 9 x 8 grid, and divide it in 6 sections of 4 x 3.
It translates in 6 octaves range,
something like this:
this way the geometric relations of the musical forms are preserved, and allow us to use two different parts of the brain, the one responsible for the musical abstractions, and the one responsible for the visual geometric relations, witch is something i want to experiment.
a useful thing to have in such a layout will be the auto mapping of the scales on the lit led buttons.
how to get there?
two problems appear:
1. How to remap the User1 layout to this new arrangement of notes?
2. How to make a M4L device to control the LEDs on the User1?
any ideas, comments, suggestions are really welcome!
