I have spent a good hour searching the fourm for a solution to this problem but I cannot find one.
I have a Live set (from someone else) that contains a track that uses the "Sampler" add-on, however my Live licence does not include the Sampler add-on. Whenever I load it, Live goes into Demo mode due to the unlicenced add-on and I cannot save my work.
I would like to remove the Sampler instance from the set and continue to work without it. However, if I delete all references to unlicenced Add-ons, Live still does not allow me to save!
Also, Live does not seem to offer the choice to load the set without loading the unlicenced add-ons, so there seems to be no way to load the set without going into demo mode.
Is there any way to rescue these sets or are they useless to me?
I am running Live 8.1.1 (standard, not "suite") with no additional add-ons or packs, and the offending set came from Live 7.
How Do I Remove Unlicenced Add-ons From A Set?
Re: How Do I Remove Unlicenced Add-ons From A Set?
My proposal (haven't tried it but it should work): Send it to someone with sampler to remove it, save it and send it back to you, or install another trial license of the Suite on another computer.

Hi Vidamus,
alternatively, you can get a free 30 days license (which includes Sampler), so you can open/edit the set (or work with Sampler for 30 days): load the set so that Live goes into demo mode, then open preferences / user account / licenses where you can obtain the time-limited license.
Best,
Jörg
