Recording Clips/Loops on the fly

Post by The Empireal Formula » Mon Mar 08, 2010 4:14 am

hey guys i been on Ableton for a while, but one thing i never figured out quite well is recording clips/loops on the fly without having to click record on a new clip with the mouse. Hope you understand what i mean.

How do you midi map the record clip function to multiple clip slots o multiple tracks?

this is what i want to do

notice how he records new loops on the fly without having to touch the mouse or using the Looper plugin.

im going out on a limb and saying that the track arm buttons are midi mapped, along with scene up, scene down, and each of the track play buttons

and that blank midi clips are already set up in the tracks to determine record/loop time
