I plan to replace Cubase and Acid by Live 5

Here's what i'd like to see (mainly audio matters) :

- A faster preview for files (it's at least 3 times slower in Live than Acid!!), with a loop option (it's so stupid to preview a loop file only once), the ability to transpose the files would be nice too

- an overdub mode for audio tracks (maybe it already exists but i cant find it)

- a way to handle multiple audio takes (like sonar 4 would be nice, but even stacked tracks would do)

- please add right click options everywhere ... it's so frustrating

- move cursor with left/right arrows (simple one)

- keep the clip window open when playing (it will be so easier to correct time alignement)

I understand that being a DAW is not the primary goal of Live, but you're so close to give to everyone (dj, live users, daw users) the perfect tool ! I love Live, and I'd love to love it much more

I think the slowness you are reporting is the sounds syncing to the start of a beat. Try stopping playback and then flick through your sounds, it's a lot quicker.

I think there should be:
- an option to turn this sync off, as well as
-looping the files, and maybe even
-transposing them.

I agree. Individual track freezing would be nice.

I'm all for FREEZE. Can you guys search for the FREEZE thread and repost? That will help send the message to Ableton that we need FREEZE.
