8.1.1 on Tiger : is it safe?

Post by Rave » Wed Mar 10, 2010 8:31 pm

I have two apple machines. I use leopard on my main machine with 8.0.9 and tiger on my working backup machine

I would like to work on a remix but it was saved in 8.1. Is it safe to upgrade on my tiger machine or am I wasting my time?

Worst case scenario you install it and it doesn't work. There seems to still currently be no rhythm or reason why 8 works on some computers and doesn't on others. I think "will it work on a…..?" is still a question that has no definitive answer.

I use the following test method:

Crash on me once, shame on me.
Crash on me twice, fuck you Ableton I'm going back to 7.

I have an early 2007 Black Macbook that runs Tiger. I use 8.1.1 and it runs just fine. I use it with my LP all the time.
