Slow render

I'm using Live 8.0.9 on a Core 2 duo Dell with 320GB HDD and 3GB RAM with Windows XP SP3.

Why does it seem that whenever I render a tune, Live renders in real time? These tunes have no plugs, third-party or native.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Have you messed with the output settings or are they defaults? I'm sure some of the settings will cause it to go slower

All the settings are default afaik.

Yeah if they're all defaults it sounds kinda fishy, I'd contact customer support and maybe send them the live set.. but usually they want the live set without samples but in this case they'd need the samples, and I don't think it's on a live set basis, more of a specific problem with your particular setup, OS, computer, etc..
