I noticed that when I'm auditioning clips in Live, Live doesn't always play the clip the instant it's selected in the browser. Obviously, the clip is waiting so that it will play in sync with the metronome or the set. This is a great idea.
On the other hand, you'll find that Live will also pause the clip before playback when auditioning from the browser, even though neither the metronome or a set is playing! This could be better.
I think it would be nice if clips played instantly (InstaPlay) when the user is auditioning clips from the browser during those times when nothing else is playing back.
This would give the user a better idea how this clips would work together and back-to-back.
EDIT: I sused it. Just turn the global quantization to off. You knew that!
