ableton suddenly stopped matching original tempo!!!! help!!

Hi guys, hope someone can help

I was using Ableton last night when suddenly I pulled in a track and it didnt match the original tempo as it usually does. For some reason when I now drag a track into Ableton it always shows the original tempo as the same as the master tempo. I have been pulling my hair out since trying to figure out if there is a setting that I have changed but cannot find anything that relates to this. I even went to the lengths of uninstalling the whole program and deleting the related registry entries. Unfortunately I dont seem to have deleted everything because when I reinstall ableton still looks for the waves files I have been using.

I am either being really stupid or something has gone horribly wrong. Either way I would a appreciate some advise

you need to start saving .asd files.

and telling ableton what tempo your tracks are.

and warp markering.

and saving .asd files.
