Dear All,
it is said in the manual that auditing a sample before dragging in for actual usage by clicking the preview (headphone shape button). But how can I preview it without disturbing the music that i am playing? everytime i preview a loop and it will go to the master speakers too. i want my preview to be complete quiet outside and audible in my headphone only. is there a special routing in my hardware setting? i am using mbox2 for as an interface.
Thanks a million

Re: previewing samples
the preview routing follows the CUE out routing. in the drop down box below the CUE OUT box (right side of the GUI) in session view set that to something different than Master Out.

Re: previewing samples
does that mean the CUE out is 1 and Master 2? or something else?
as for an ordinary mbox setting, how can I can preview on headphone without affecting master out?
is there an illustration for routing it?
thanks you.

Re: previewing samples
or should I plug my headphone directly to the mac headphone out
and play the master out through mbox MON-out? I am confused.

play hide and seek.
set the output to a number then use your headphones or whatnot to find out where Live is playing out of. then write it down.
