sound level difference in browser

when i audition wav sounds in the browser they sound a lot clearer and louder than when i drag them into the main screen.is there a reason or workaround for this?.when i got my triton i had the same problem,that was a case of having to copy across effects settings is it similar here i wonder?.cheers guys

You need to adjust the preview/cue volume knob on the master channel.

I noticed the same differences
between preview sounds and when
the clip is loaded. It's been a while
since I have tried to play with this,
but I'm sure it's not a volume
issue.

Usually, I have noticed it
most on very bare/minimal sounds,
like a loop of just a kick drum on
4/4. Sounds a little different in
preview then when loaded.

For now, I just ignore it. It's a minor
issue for me.
