However, GOOD NEWS....

This problem was resolved by consulting with Ableton Support

It was related to graphics, my thought is that the graphics rendering was taking up overmuch CPU and robbing from the audio processing. Adding the option "-ForceDirectDraw" to my options .txt file resolved this issue.
