Using ableton instruments (Not operator, analog, etc.)

Post by Bright Morningstar » Sat Mar 20, 2010 6:21 am

I use impulse for my drums and I'm kinda new to using the ableton internal instruments and am looking for some tips. do people generally write music and then export (say a 32 bar loop at a particular tempo) and then re-bring that sample into ableton to mix with other elements? I've always just added sounds within a session and I'm always stuck with the tempo of the track. I guess I'm just looking for some creative tips on how to use the keys/pads/synths...

I realize this is a stupid question, just looking for some honest feedback...
